Bolt (Chromed) - The PPSh is a simple blowback weapon. On firing, the spring-loaded bolt is released. Picking up a round from the magazine, it feeds it into the chamber and fires it. The force of the detonation propels the bullet forwards, at the same time pushing the bolt back. As long as the trigger is held down the cycle is repeated, unless the selector switch is set to semi-automatic, then the bolt is held back until the trigger is pulled again.
